The Gagne Wedding took place in Stuart, FL. It was a beautiful evening at the Pirates Cove Marina. The guests arrived and were greeted with steel drum music which went with the nautical/trpical theme of the wedding. It was open bar and the guests took full advantage. A table was set up with wooden oars for the guests to sign during the cocktail hour along with the place cards which were beautifully displayed in wine cork holders. The wedding party made a grand entrance arriving on a boat with the song “I’m On A boat” by The Lonely Island Ft. T-Pain blasting and waving their yellow wedding “Steelers” towels. I introduced the entire bridal party to “Renegade” by Styx and everyone waved there wedding towels in the air as they walked down the dock to the reception area. After the wedding party was announced all the guests headed into the reception area after first grabbing a cocktail for the first toast. After all the guests were seated the Brides three sisters made the first toast followed by the Brides cousin Matt Walton then by the best man and last but not least the Father of the Bride Bruce Walton. A moment of silence was taken as the Uncle of the Bride Alan Ward performed the blessing prior to dinner. I played a combination of love songs and country during dinner. Once all the guests had finished eating our newlyweds danced together as husband and wife to “When I Say I Do” by Matthew West. Then Kristen danced with her father Bruce to “Wildflowers” by Tom Petty. Brad followed with the mother/son dance to “I Hope You Dance” by Lee Ann Womack. After the special dances, I got the party started with “I Gotta Feeling” by The Black Eyed Peas and everyone came on to the dance floor. A special request was made and by a young guest who tore up the dance floor with his version of Gangnam Style. While everyone was burning up the dance floor, I played the “Here We Go” The Steelers Theme everyone grabbed there wedding towels and were whirling them in the air to the beat of the music. The night was full of love and fun.
There was a 3 tier display of cupcakes with one small cake on top decorated with nautical themed candies . Then it was time to cut the cake, I played “Forever and Ever Amen″ by Randy Travis. The Newly Weds had a few laughs feeding each other the Wedding Cups Cakes.
The Bouquet and Garter Toss. Playing “Where Dem Girls At” by David Guetta, I called all the single ladies to the dance floor. It was now time to toss the bouquet. I said at the count of 3, Kristen you are going to throw the bouquet, 1…2...3…! Kristen tossed her bouquet and Kendal was the lucky girl to catch it. Then it was time for the groom to remove the garter. Playing “Danger Zone” by Kenny Loggins, I called Kristen to the center of the dance floor to take a seat, while Brad went down on his knees into the Danger Zone. Next it was time to throw that Garter. I called all the single men to the dance floor while blasting “Sharp Dressed Man” by ZZ Top. I said at the count of 3, Brad you are going to throw that garter, 1…2...3…! Brad threw it straight into Randal’s hands. Now we have our winners Kendal and Randal, I had Kendal take a seat in the center of the dance floor while playing “Hot in Herre” and Randal got down on his knees and you know the rest.
The final song was a sing a long dedicated to the people serving and veterans, “God Bless the USA” by Lee Greenwood, except the father of the bride decided the party was not over yet and asked me to play for another hour. WOW what a party this was…..them Steeler fans know how to celebrate. I wish Kristen and Brad all the best…..and Go Steelers
