Wedding and Reception at the Points of America

On 1/1/2016, Laura and Mike O'Leary celebrated their wedding at Points of Americas in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.  This wedding began with a beautiful beach ceremony over-looking the Atlantic Ocean in front of 70+ friends and family members.  The cocktail hour and reception was held in a quaint lounge room on the 2nd floor.  All of the guests were directed to that area right after the ceremony for drinks and appetizers.  Laura and Mike posed for a few pictures on the beach then joined their guests at the cocktail hour.  Mike did provide me with a play list that included top 40, classic rock, disco and heavy 80's dance music.  The happy couple decided on not having a formal first dance, parents dances or garter removal.  They preferred a cocktail reception instead of the tradition sit down dinner.  There were plenty of appetizers being passed around the entire night along with a small buffet station.  The dance floor was the place to be that evening as all of the guests enjoyed the mix of genres.   Mike's son Keegan did give a short toast to the happy couple then Laura had a bouquet toss.  Great way to start the new year with a laid back/chill wedding with a group of great people and an amazing view of the ocean.  Congrats to Laura, Mike and the entire O'Leary family.
