On Friday February 8th, 2013 I was at the Post Card Inn/Holiday Isle in Islamorada playing for Tabitha and Neil Blackmon, and 70 family members and friends. It was a picture perfect day for a ceremony on the beach for which I played "Canon In D" for the bridal party and Tabitha walked to "Over The Rainbow". After the exchange of vows and a few kisses, "All You Need Is Love" was played for the recessional. While the bridal party took photos, the guests relaxed and enjoyed steel drum music during cocktail hour. I introduced the bridal party to "Bring Em Out" and the first dance was a classic by Elvis, "Can't Help Falling In Love". Tabitha danced with her father Daniel to "Daughters" by John Mayer, and Neil danced with his mother Brenda to "Simple Man" by Shinedown. The music format was a mix of retro 80's and todays Top 40 club hits. Later the happy couple cut their cake to "When I'm Sixty Four" by The Beatles and Neil removed the garter to "Luck Be A Lady" a classic by ole blue eyes Frank Sinatra! I invited all of the single ladies to the dance floor for the bouquet toss and played the "Sex In The City Theme". The final requests of the night were "Let's Stay Together" by Al Green and then we ended with "Don't Stop Believing" by Journey. Congrats to Neil and Tabitha as they are off to Hawaii for their honeymoon! Hats off and 2 thumbs up to the staff at Holiday Isle........always a pleasure to work with! DJ/MC Eddie B!
