On Friday April 5th, 2013 I played for Stacy and Don Condon and fifty friends and family members from the Minnesota/Michigan area at the Holiday Isle Post card Inn. Although mother nature didn't cooperate outside, the sun was shining on this couple the entire evening inside. We started with a ceremony as the bridal party walked to "Heaven" by Jason Aldean and Bryan Adams. Stacy walked to "The Wedding Song" by Kenny G, and after their vows were sealed with a kiss I played "It Takes Two" by Marvin Gaye and Kim Weston for the recessional. For the cocktail hour it was Tropical Steel Drum music as requested by these fun northerners. I introduced the entire bridal party to 'Don't Stop The Party" and their first dance was "I Cross My Heart" by George Strait. After dinner and a few toasts I cranked up the tunes, and it was my pleasure to play a mix of Earth, Wind, & Fire, The Time, Prince, Marvin Gaye, Tower of Power, George Clinton, Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Lionel Richie, Sly & the Family Stone......well you get the picture......NO RAP CRAP!!!!!!! This group was into the Soul sound from Motown! They dance until the end and then the party continued at the Tiki Bar. I loved playing for this group of festive party people that knew something about GOOD OLE SOUL music! Also hats off to the entire staff at the Post Card Inn for anther job well done! DJ/MC Eddie B
