Hello again from the virtual DJ Marc Evans celebrating with another happy couple on Saturday October 6th, 2012. This weekends party brings us to the Ritz Carlton in Manalapan. In front of 115 of family and friends, Matt and Sara were married in a very lit room filled with amber lighting. The bridal party and the bride walked down the aisle to After All by Cher and Peter Cetera. Beautiful song that was perfectly orchestrated by DJ Marc Evans. the bride and groom did a sand ceremony and I played very soft instrumental music as they poured the sand. When the bride and groom were pronounced as husband and wife, I played as requested at the chorus of Signed, Sealed , Delivered I'm yours by Stevie Wonder. For cocktail hour, the bride and groom wanted a steel drummer and that is what Eddie B and Company provided. A steel drummer that played for the entire cocktail hour. It provided all of the out of town guests the feeling of being in the Islands, even though it's just Florida. Once cocktail hour was over and the guest were invited into the room. The room was very beautiful as they entered to uplighting, the color Amber, and the sounds of DJ Marc Evans. I lined up the bridal party and prepared for the grand entrance. My personal favorite to introduce the bridal party called the Brain. As I introduced the newlyweds they danced into Feels So Close by Calvin Harris. The first dance was an oldie but a goodie. have I told you lately by Rod Stewart. A very good choice of song as I invited all the guests to join them on the dance floor. Then as requested by the bride, I danced the guest for approximately 15 minutes to get the blood flowing. After the toasts and salad, I introduced the father of the bride and the mother of the groom as they did a joint dance to What a wonderful world by Louis Armstrong. During dinner the selected songs from the bride were played such as Lonestar, Rod Stewart, Phil Collins and many more artists. I followed the list provided. After dinner the guests and bride and groom dance all night long. Starting with some sixties to the 70's and then top 40 is what they literally danced to all night. Pitbull, Beyonce, Otis Redding and many more artists. They had suggested some four tops and the four seasons. What really worked was the top 40 music. As the bride approached me at the end of the party and told me that everything was great and thanked me for helping out. Off to St. Lucia for them, and for me the Virtual DJ Marc Evans, I will prepare for next weeks wedding in Light house point.
