Good Day Wedding BloggersDJ Gregg here with another installment! Today November 17th, 2012, I bring you the laid back Florida Keys wedding of Katy and David. This was a full destination wedding! all of the guests were from out of town and were staying at the hotel. The venue was the Siesta Key Resort in Islamorada. A very tropical venue right on the ocean! The evening was perfect for a wedding. The ceremony was starting as the sun was setting. There was a reddish, orange hue over the ocean..Spectacular! After the ceremony guests were invited under the Tiki Hut for the cocktail hour and reception. This is the Keys, so everything moves a little slower. Of course, I played the appropriate music for the day. Reggae, Island, Jimmy Buffet, etc. It was really nice. The guests started the partying days before the wedding, so no one was feeling pain for the entire evening! As I introduced the bridal party, the guests were getting into it. I then introduced the Bride and Groom! A lot of applause! I was then instructed to seat all of the guests for dinner. A great spread for everyone. One dinner was over, I invited the Bride and Groom to dance their first dance.Van Morrison "Have I Told You Lately". I really love this version of the song, very romantic. I then played the father/daughter dance "Blue Bayou" by Roy Orbison. Then the mother/son dance "What a Wonderful World" by Louis Armstrong. In the middle of this song, I invited the rest of the guests up and they stayed on the floor for the rest of the evening! I played mostly Top 40 dance, since it was a young crowd. I also got lost in the 80's and 90's for a while! All in all it was a great evening and everyone danced!! DJ/MC Gregg Pellito
