Hello Bloggers!
DJ Gregg is back with another installment of the wedding blog.
This weeks adventure takes us to the Signature Grand in Davie. I always like working there. The staff is efficient and courteous.
I was honored to be the DJ for the wedding ceremony and reception of Dan and Laura. The date of the affair was on Saturday 06/26/18.
As the guests made their way into the chapel, I was instructed to play some traditional prelude music from Handel, Beethoven, Pachabel, etc.
Dan and the officiant, who was also Laura's brother entered and walked down the aisle.
Then Laura entered to "Here comes The Bride".
The ceremony was charged with a lot of love and emotion.
As the ceremony came to a close, I was instructed to play "The Wedding Recessional".
It went over great!
Now we enter the main reception room. The room was bathed in RED LED up-lighting provided by Eddie B. & Company.
I was instructed to play some light and upbeat tunes.
I lined up Laura and Dan outside. I then introduced them to "Uptown Funk" by Bruno Mars.
I invited the newlyweds to dance the first dance. "You Make It Easy" by Jason Aldean was chosen.
Next, I invited Laura to dance with her father. They chose "My Little Girl" by Tim McGraw.
Then Dan danced a special song with his sister, to "My Wish" by Rascal Flatts.
Soon I invited all of the guests to continue the slow dance. It went over perfectly.
We then invited everyone to take their seats for the dinner buffet.
During this time, I was asked to keep it light and smooth. I played music from the 70's 80's 90's as well as some light top 40 hits. It really set the tone for the evening.
After dinner, I invited the guests up with a slow song and then I turned up the heat!
I was able to play music from all styles, cultures and generations. It was a lot of fun.
Now it is time to cut the cake. I played " Cut The Cake" by The Average White Band.
Now the dance floor was filled up again.
The rest of the night was great!
I played the classic tunes like "Shout" and "Mony Mony", "Celebration", "P.Y.T" as well as a lot of top 40.
It was a great party!
