Wedding and Reception at the Sonesta Hotel / Ft. Lauderdale

Laura and Miguel Fornella celebrated their wedding at the Sonesta Hotel in Ft. Lauderdale, FL on 6/2/2018.  This amazing wedding began with an indoor ceremony overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.  That is where approximately 90 close friends and family members witnessed the happy couple tie the knot and seal their love with a big kiss. The cocktail followed immediately after the ceremony.  I played a mix of tropical tunes as everyone mingled and enjoyed drinks and appetizers.  When it was time for all of the guests to enter the ballroom I lined up the 7 member bridal party for the grand entrance.  Laura chose Celebration by Kool & The Gang for the bridal party intros and Crazy In Love by Beyonce for her and Miguel's intro.  The first dance was to Hero by Enrique Iglesias then Laura danced with her dad to The Way You Look Tonight by Frank Sinatra then Miguel danced with his mom to Amor De Madre by Victor Manuelle.  The toasts were given by Laura's parents Mr. and Mrs. Kelly then everyone found their seats and prepared for a 3 course meal.  Laura did provide me with a play list that included top 40, classic rock, freestyle, disco classics and Motown.  What a great mix of genres for this fun group of guests.  As the night progressed I did take a few requests for salsa, merengue and some of the newer group dances.  The cake cutting ceremony was performed towards the end of the night along with an anniversary dance.  The closing song for the evening was my all time favorite,  New York, New York by Frank Sinatra...PRICELESS!!!  Congrats to Laura, Miguel and the entire Fornella and Kelly families.
