On 12/17/2011 Greg and Ashley Labbad were married at The Spanish River Library and celebrated with an unforgettable reception that no one will soon forget. The evening began with Greg and Ashley vowing their love to each other by the lake in front of 110 family and friends. The day started very cloudy with a serious threat of rain but right before the ceremony was to begin the clouds went away and the wind died down. Thank God!! After the ceremony the guests enjoyed a cocktail hour with appetizers, drinks and and a mix of songs that were requested by Ashley. A little bit of Marley, Jack Johnson and Jason Aldean did the trick. Soon after I lined everyone up for the grand entrance as the guests were directed to the reception area and their tables. The bridal party entered to I Gotta Feeling by The Black Eyed Peas and Ashley and Greg entered to Everything Tonight by Pitbull and Neyo. All of the activities took place outdoors so it sounded like we were in a football stadium when Ashley and Greg entered. The guests were really excited for the bride and groom. Greg and Ashley went right into their first dance which was A Moment Like This by Kelly Clarkson. It was a magical moment until the end of the song when all of a sudden the bridal party gathered on the dance floor and performed a group dance to a 6 minute dance mix that Ashley's brother put together. It started with Apache, then Salt and Peppa and ended with Usher!! What a way to get the party started!! Ashley then dance with her dad to Holiday by Madonna then with her step-dad to Today Is Your Day by Shania Twain. Greg got a chance to dance with his mom also to A Mother's Love by Jim Brickman. The toasts were given by Emily (maid of honor) and Gavin (best man). The buffet style dinner was provided by Screeter's Catering. They did a great job and most of the guests went back for seconds. Greg and Ashley wanted to get the cake cutting and garter/bouquet toss out of the way to make room for more dancing so right after dinner we did just that. That dance floor was packed all night!! Ashley provided me with a list of favorite dance songs which included top 40, country, classic hip-hop, disco and oldies. I must say the highlights of the evening were when the bridal party performed the dance mix and also when we all performed the Grease-Mega Mix. Ashley surprised me and a few guests with her beautiful singing voice. X-Factor watch out!!! The weather held up, the food was delicious, the drinks were flowing and the music was on point. What more can you ask for!! I want to thank Greg for keeping his cool during the grand entrance as we were lining everyone up. Their were 29 members of the bridal party and it got a bit crazy trying to line them all up. Good news...we pulled it off!! Thanks to Ashley and her girls for dancing to almost every single song I played. You guys made me look good! I posted some pictures of the up-lighting which we provided. Greg and Ashley I hope you loved the up-lights, they looked awesome!
