Hello Bloggers!
DJ Gregg here with this weeks installment of the wedding blog. Today's adventure takes us to "The Venue" located in Ft. Lauderdale. This is a very unique location, as it is a full service night club and caters to weddings as well.
As the guests arrived for the ceremony, I played music from the Vitamin String Quartet. Then the bridal party entered with God Bless the Broken Road by the Rascal Flatts. Then Jess came down the elegant staircase with "Air on G" by Bach.
It was really a nice ceremony. It was an interfaith ceremony with the Rabbi pulling traditions from both faiths. And topping it off with the breaking of the glass!
After the ceremony, the guests went to the lounge for drinks and nibble food. I played Rat Pack music. They loved it!
Now we are back in the main salon for the reception. I played "Bring em out" by TI for the bridal party and then Bob and Jess entered the room with "This is how we do it" by Montell Jordan. The crowd went crazy!
I then proceeded to do the first dance "I'll be" by Edwin McCain. Bob and Jess had a choreographed dance for this song and it went over great..
I then proceeded to invite all of the guests up for the celebration HORA. We lifted the bride and groom up in the chairs and gave a big Mazel Tov!
A lot of fun.
After that I asked the best man and maid of honor to say a few words and we started our dinner service shortly afterwards. This was the time that I invited all of the guests to enjoy the photo booth that was provide by Eddie B & Company. They loved the funky hats and silly glasses. It really is a lot of fun.
After dinner, I asked Jess to dance with her Dad. They chose "My little girl" by Tim McGraw. After that I asked Jess to dance with her grandfather. They danced to "Have I told you lately" by Rod Stewart. It was very touching
Now it was Bob's turn to dance with his mom. They chose "Mama's Song" by the Boyz 2 Men.
After that I picked up the pace and we got the party going. Jess and Bob are old souls and they loved the typical wedding fanfare. So I played a lot of 70's 80' 90's top 40 and of course some line dances.
It was a really fun party and the dance floor was always moving... I loved the venue and the crowd.. A great time!
