Good Day Bloggers!
DJ Gregg is at it again....bringing you the latest installment of the Wedding Blog. This weeks adventure takes us to the Waterstone Resort in Boca Raton. Avery nice venue indeed.
As the guests arrived, they were escorted to the patio for the ceremony. It is situated on the water and is a lovely view. I was asked to play classical music, along with the violinist that was hired.
The bride walked down to "A Thousand Years" by the Piano Guys.
The ceremony was performed by a close friend, so it was very personal and intimate. Jenna and Zac prepared their own vows to each other. A nice touch for a beautiful ceremony.
After the ceremony, I invited the guests upstairs to the penthouse floor. This is where the cocktail hour and reception were held. The room overlooks the water at every angle!
The music during cocktail hour was light. I was instructed to play some "South Beach Lounge" music. Very smooth.
The main dining room was almost ready to be received. It was beautifully decorated with flowers and gorgeous LED amber up lighting, provided by Eddie B & Company.
The guests entered and I kept a funky groove going. I then lined up the bridal party for intros.
First, it was "Bring Em Out" by T.I. Then Zac and Jenna arrived with "Party Rock Anthem" playing. Very upbeat and fun! I went into their first dance "Never Stop" by Safety Suit. After that I invited all of the guests to join Zac and Jenna on the floor. I played "Wonderful Tonight" by Eric Clapton.
Shortly after that I asked the maid of honor and best man, Ashley and JJ to say a few words. It was very touching. Jenna's brother Rudy said a blessing before dinner was served. During this time, I played a mix of soft music. Sinatra, Buble', some slow tunes and mellow contemporary. It was a very eclectic mix. I also let everyone know that the photo booth provided by Eddie B & Company was open for business!
After dinner I invited Jenna to dance with her dad. They used "Butterfly Kisses" by Bob Carlisle. Then Zac and his mom had their special song. "My Wish" by Rascal Flatts was requested. I then invited all of the guests to dance and we got the party started!
All I can say is WOW! This was a dancing crowd. I had a mixed bag of guests, so I played music for every taste and style. I did notice that Top 40 and Hip Hop worked the best, but I played some oldies and some cool tunes for the "older" guests..
The cake was cut and I played "Cut The Cake" by the Average White Band. I immediately picked it back up after that and we danced the rest of the night away!
As always, I want to thank the staff of the Waterstone for their professionalism and helping me make Zac and Jenna's special day a great one!
