Good Day Bloggers!
DJ Gregg here with this weeks installment of the WEDDING BLOG.
On Saturday I had the pleasure of being the DJ for Jason and Azaria. They had their wedding and reception party at the Wellington Golf Club. This is a very nice club and the staff are always welcoming!
The ceremony was held out in the courtyard. It was a perfect afternoon. The rain had decided to stay away and a nice breeze set the tone. I played some NEO Classical during the prelude. Then the bridal party entered with "I Choose You" by Ryann Darling. Soon after, Azaria walked down the aisle to "A thousand Years" by Christine Perri and The Piano Guys. The ceremony was performed by Pastor Fidel Gomez from Calvary Chapel Ft. Lauderdale. It was very nice.
Cocktails were served in the lobby. I played some smooth tunes per Jason's request.
After that, I invited all of the guests to the main room. It was decorated beautifully,
The introductions went flawlessly. I played "24K " by Bruno Mars for the bridal party and then I used "Soldier" by Destiny's Child for the entrance of Jason and Azaria. The crowd erupted with applause! Next I invited Jason and Azaria to dance the first dance. "Known" by Tauren Wells was requested. Then Jason danced with his mom. They chose" "A Song For Mama" by Boyz II Men. I then asked all of the guests to find their seats. I invited Bryan, the best man to do the toast and dedication.
Now dinner was served. I played some old school tunes, light rock and vocals. It went over great!
After dinner we really got the party started! This was truly a dancing crowd and the dance floor was packed all evening. I was able to play all different styles and genres of music. It was a really well rounded crowd. Jason and Azaria really enjoyed the Latino feel. The cake was cut using "You Make It Easy" by Jason Aldean as background music. Jason and Azaria had a great time slamming each other with cake!
Shortly after that I picked up the pace again and got the party going!
We then slowed it back down to do the bouquet toss. Azaria threw the flowers but it got stuck in the chandelier! Thank goodness the photographer had a long pole and was able to free it. That was a first for me..
After that I picked up the pace again. I played a lot of Latin tunes and top 40 music.
A great time for them and a great experience for me! DJ Gregg
