Wedding and Reception at the Westin Hotel / Ft. Lauderdale

Vicky and Roy Lee celebrated their wedding at the Westin Hotel and Resort in Ft. Lauderdale, FL on 7/19/2014. Because of the possibility of rain, the ceremony took place in-doors so approximately 150 invited guests looked on comfortably as Vicky and Roy tied the knot.  The cocktail hour was held at the lobby just outside of the grand ballroom.  One of Roy's good friends played the piano as everyone enjoyed drinks and appetizers.  The grand ballroom was decorated with 24 light blue colored, LED, wireless up-lights and dance floor lights all provided by Eddie B & Company.  As all of the guests entered the ballroom and found their tables, I lined up the 14 member bridal party for the grand entrance.  Vicky chose I Gotta Feeling by The Black Eyed Peas for the bridal party entrance and Celebration by Kool and The Gang for her and Roy's entrance.  The firsts dance was to At Last by Etta James then Vicky danced with her dad to Unforgettable by Nat and Natalie Cole.  The prayer before the meal was given by a close friend of the family then everyone sat down for the first of a 3 course meal. Vicky and Roy did provide me with a play list that consisted of r&b, calypso, reggae, 80's dance hits, 90's top 40 and a few group dances.  The mix of music that I played that night was perfect for this crowd.  As the night progressed we did perform the bouquet only toss (no garter) the cake cutting and one of the invited guests named Christine sang A Moment Like This by Kelly Clarkson (amazing singing voice).  The last song requested by Roy and Vicky was We Are Family by Sister Sledge so all of the remaining friends and family members joined them on the dance floor for their big send off!!!  Congrats to Vicky, Roy and the entire Lee and Quamina families. Special thanks to the staff at the Westin Resort.  This was the second Saturday in a row that I got to work with them and they are a pleasure to work with.
