Shayne and Joe Ellman celebrated their dream wedding at the Westin in Ft. Lauderdale Beach, FL on 4/6/2014. The festivities began with a beautiful beach ceremony right across the street from the Westin were approximately 100 guests and plenty of on-lookers witnessed Shayne and Joe tie the knot. It was a traditional Jewish ceremony (under a Chuppah) and the live music was provided by our very own Ricky B. After the ceremony all of the guests were invited to the Westin for the cocktail hour were they were treated to drinks, appetizers and some tropical tunes. During cocktail hour I decorated the ballroom with 24 amber colored, LED, wireless up-lights and dance floor lights all provided by Eddie B & Company. All of the guests seamed anxious to get the reception started as they entered the ballroom. Shayne and Joe decided to have the grand entrance all to themselves and they entered to We Like To Party by Showlek. The guests went wild as they entered the ballroom then went right into the first dance. The happy couple chose Swing Life Away by Rise Against then Shayne's dad surprised everyone by singing and dancing to The Way You Look Tonight by Frank Sinatra for the father/daughter dance. Joe then danced with his mom to What A Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong and requested that all of the moms and sons join them on the dance floor. The toasts were given by Shawn (Shayne's brother) and Roseanna (matron of honor) then Shayne's great Uncle Mr. Alan Klein gave the blessing before the meal. At that point the room was still buzzing as all of the guests were invited to 4 food stations for the meals. Shayne and Joe did provide me with a play list of their favorite songs that included alternative, grunge, heavy metal, punk, oldies and 80's and asked me to fill in with top 40 and progressive dance. After the meals the dance floor erupted and they danced the night away. As the wedding progressed we did take the time to have a cake cutting ceremony and a garter/bouquet toss. While must of the remaining guests were still on the dance floor I played the last song which was My Way by Sid Vicious. It surprised most of the Italians because it wasn't by Old Blue Eyes but never the less they all took the time to show love to the happy couple as they gave them a group hug. Great way to end and amazing wedding!! Congrats to Shayne, Joe and the entire Ellman, and Depasquale families. Awesome energy all night!!! Special thanks to the staff at the Westin for helping with the beach ceremony and making everything run smoothly.
