Melissa and Tyler Piontkowski celebrated their wedding at the Whimsical Key West House in Homestead, FL on 3/9/2019. This amazing wedding began with an outdoor ceremony where approximately 100 close friends and family members witnessed the happy couple tie the knot then they were all invited to the back of the house by the pool deck for the cocktail hour. I played a mix of tropical tunes while all of the guests mingled and enjoyed drinks and appetizers. After the cocktail hour all of the guests were directed to the reception area as I lined up the bridal party for the grand entrance. Melissa chose September by Earth Wind and Fire for the bridal party intros and I Wanna Dance With Somebody by Whitney Houston for her and Tyler's intro. The first dance was to Crazy Love by Van Morrison then Melissa danced with her dad to Landslide by Fleetwood Mac and Tyler danced with his mom to Days Like This by Van Morrison. The toasts were given by Kristen (maid of honor) and Peter (best man) then everyone found their seats and prepared for a 3 course meal. Melissa did provide me with a play list that included top 40, country, Motown and 80s and 90s dance hits. After the main course the dance floor filled up very quickly. This was a very high energy group of guests that enjoyed the mix of genres that I played that night. We performed some of the group dances and as the evening progressed we had a cake cutting ceremony and the garter/bouquet toss. One of the highlights of the evening was when I played the traditional Jewish Hora!!! PRICELESS!! The closing songs for the evening was All You Need Is Love by The Beatles and that put a bow on an amazing Saturday night wedding. Congrats to Melissa , Tyler and the entire Piontkowski and Olson families.
