Wedding and Reception at Tree Tops Park

Tree Tops Park in Davie, FL was the site for Jon and Delilah Congdon's beautiful wedding on Friday 12/7/2012.  Approximately 50 of their close friends and family members witnessed a beautiful outdoor ceremony where Delilah's son Justin walked her down the isle to the instrumental version of A Thousand Years by The Piano Guys.  After the ceremony all of the guests were directed to the cocktail hour area which was also outdoors.  Delilah and Jon chose the classic wedding package offered by Eddie B and Co which included 20 up-lights and dance floor lights for the reception.  They really wanted a live musician for the cocktail hour so we provided them with the one and only Rick B.  He was so entertaining that the cocktail hour lasted 1 hour and a half.  Nobody wanted to leave because they were singing and dancing with Ricky B.  Finally we got all of the guests to make their way into the main ballroom for the grand entrance.  I lined up the 9 member bridal party for the intros just outside the main doors as everyone found their tables. Delilah chose I Gotta Feeling by The Black Eyed Peas for the entire bridal party to enter.  The first dance was to the original version of A Thousand Years by Christina Perri then Delilah and her son Justin and Jon and his mom Shelia danced to I Hope You Dance by Leeann Womack.  The toasts were given by Jon's dad Tim who was also the best man, Shanon the maid of honor and Delilah's son Justin.  The first course was set and the party was underway.  Delilah and Jon provided me with a short play list and left it up to me for the rest.  After dinner the dance floor was pumping to a mix of top 40, disco, classic rock, r&b and country.  I took a few requests and played some standards.  The highlight was watching everyone dance to the Cupid Shuffle, the Cha Cha Slide and the Electric Slide.  This was a very fun crowd that loved to dance, especially Delilah who rarely was off of the dance floor.  There was no garter/bouquet toss but they did cut the cake and performed an anniversary dance.  The 2 last songs requested by the happy couple were The Time by The Black Eyed Peas and Save The Last Dance For Me by Michael Buble.  A perfect way to end a great wedding!! Congrats to Delilah, Jon and the entire Congdon family!!  Weddings are special at Tree Tops Park and the pictures come out great because of the scenic background.  Had a BLAST!! DJ Ray
