Jamie and Daniel Jones celebrated their fabulous wedding on 10/6/2012 at Tropical Acres in Ft. Lauderdale FL. with 75 close friends and family members. This was one of those high energy weddings from the start. The event began with a beautiful indoor ceremony were Jamie and Daniel tied the knot. As soon as Daniel broke the glass everyone yelled "Mozeltov" and it was official. The guests were directed into the reception ballroom for the cocktail hour. The room was decorated with royal blue color up-lights provided by Eddie B & Co. There they enjoyed appetizers, drinks and a mix of tropical tunes and oldies. Soon after I lined up the 12 member bridal party and the grand entrance was ready to get under way. Jamie chose I Gotta Feeling by The Black Eyed Peas for the bridal party entrance and Mr. Jones by The Counting Crows for her and Daniel. It was magical as they entered the room and everyone was on their feet cheering. Jamie and Daniel chose Amazed by Lonestar as the first dance, then Jamie danced with her dad to Daddy's Little Girl by Al Martino and Daniel danced with his mom to A Song For My Son by Mikki Viereck. The first of 2 course was served and soon after Jamie's dad Gary had the honors of giving the first toast. Peggy (maid of honor) and Josh (best man) also made 2 great toasts for the happy couple. Jamie and Daniel did not feel the need to provide me with a play list as they trusted my judgment when it came to the music selections. Not just for the dinner music but also for the up-beat/dancing segment of the evening. This was by far one of the easiest crowds to please. The festivities after dinner began with the traditional Hora then it really got crazy. They literally danced to every single song. I played a mix of top 40, classic rock, hip-hop, r&b, 80's and 70's. The highlight of the evening was performing the new group dance Gangnam Style by Psy. Not to many people new it but after a quick lesson, they caught on quick!!! After the anniversary dance, the cake cutting and the garter/bouquet toss the dancing continued until the end. Jamie and Daniel requested Closing Time by Semisonic as the last song for the evening. What a great wedding for a great couple and their guests. Congrats to Jamie and Daniel Jones and to the Heller, Jones and Levene families for a night to remember. Also this was my first wedding at Tropical Acres and I am sure it won't be my last. The staff was warm and friendly and put a big smile on the brides face. PRICELESS!!! DJ Ray
