Wedding and Reception at Via Mizner Country Club

Robyn and Travis May celebrated their wedding at Via Mizner C.C. in Boca Raton FL on 5/11/2013.  The event began with an outdoor ceremony where 130 of Robyn and Travis' closest friends and family members witnessed the happy couple tie the knot.  Everyone was surprised when the recessional song came on as Robyn and Travis kissed.  They chose I Feel Good by James Brown and it had all of the guests dancing towards the cocktail hour.  Travis and Robyn  really wanted to enjoy the cocktail hour with their guests so they took a few pictures with the bridal party then joined their guests.  After the cocktail hour everyone was invited to the grand ballroom for the intros and reception.  Robyn requested that I play a different song for every couple as they entered the room.  It worked out great!  Travis and Robyn went right into the first dance which was Me and You by Kenny Chesney and asked that the bridal party join then half way through the song.  Robyn danced with her dad to Because You Loved Me by Celine Dion and Travis danced with his mom to I Hope You Dance by Leeann Womack.  The toasts were given by Jennifer (maid of honor) and John (best man) then Travis' dad Jay gave the blessing before the meal.  All of the guests sat down for a 4 course meal while I played a mix of country love songs and oldies.  I was not provided with a play list but Robyn and Travis both love country music and so did their guests.  Some of the guests were dancing in between courses until the main course was served.  After the main course the dance floor really opened up!!  I played a mix of top 40, up-beat country, 80's, funk and freestyle.  The top request for the evening was Love Shack by The B 52's (private family joke)!!  Robyn and Travis cut their beautiful wedding cake and had the garter/bouquet toss towards the end of the wedding then danced 'till the end.  The last song for the evening was Closing Time by SemiSonic as all of the remaining guests wished the happy couple good luck with lots of hugs and kisses.  Congrats to Robyn, Travis and the entire Delaney and May families.  This was my first wedding at Via Mizner C.C. and I was very impressed. Via Mizner is Boca's hidden jewel!!
