On Saturday March, 12th,2011 I played for Kati and P.J. FItzgerald at the Embassy Suites in Deerfield Beach. There were 200 family members and friends at this Irish wedding. P.J. played football for the Alabama Crimson Tide (championship team) and Kati is a Florida Gator, so I played "Sweet Home Alabama and the Gator fight song back to back and for three hours plus the dance floor never emptied. I introduced the bridal party (29 people) to the instrumental "I Got A Feeling" (looped 2 times) and when Kati & P.J. made their grand entrance I thought I was at a stadium....LOUD and FULL of ENERGY!!!!! Their first dance was "You Had Me From Hello" by Kenny Chesney. Kati danced with her father Kevin, to "My Wish" by Rascal Flatts, and P.J. danced with his mother Kim, to "A Song For My Son" by Mikki Viereck. This party was so big the hotel had to set up the buffet in the lobby area, and the 2 bars were 3 to 6 deep all night long! I had a young, hip party crowd that loved their music, but at the same time, appreciated the toonz I played from the 60's, 70's and 80's. One highlight of the night is when Kevin, F.O.B. took the microphone and led the room in an Irish sing along that had two thirds of the room, young and old singing along. I want say hats off to Clair and her staff for doing first class job all the way around. I will never forget this party and the energy this wedding reception had from start to finish! Thanx Kati and P.J.....The Best to Both of You!...DJ/MC Eddie B!
