I just played at a great wedding this past Saturday for Anna and Joshua Epp. They got married on the beach then everyone made their way to Royal Fiesta where the cocktail hour started at about 7. Since the bride was Italian, she requested some Italian classics for the cocktail hour and dinner. Anna's father Mr. Roberto Dionisi provided me with 2 discs with great Italian music on them. I had never heard of these songs before. Mr. Dionisi told me to keep the cd's to add to my collection of Italian hits. After cocktail hour I presented Anna and Joshua for the first time to there guests as the new Mr. and Mrs. Epp then they danced there first dance "Truly" by Lionel Richie. Anna surprised her father for the daughter/father dance and chose an Italian son called "Figlia Mia" by Gerry Damato. The title means My Daughter in Italian. Anna and dad shared a tear during the song because dad had no idea she had picked that song. Joshua and his mom danced to "What a Wonderful World" by Louis Armstrong. Anna, Joshua and guests enjoyed dinner Italian style of course!!! There must have been about 6 different courses from salads to pasta to main course, etc. Anna was full of surprises that day. She surprised Joshua by having a photo montage play during dinner. The back ground music for the montage was "A Te" by Jovanotti another great Italian song. After dinner we danced the night away. I played top 40, oldies, 70's and of course some more Italian dance songs. Everyone enjoyed the mix and transition from one era to the other. Once again the management and staff at Royal Fiesta went above and beyond the call of duty. Since it rained that day the photographer was not able to take enough pictures during the ceremony on the beach. During cocktail hour Tammy the banquet manager at Royal Fiesta closed off the reception area and let the photographer take as many pictures as needed of the bride and groom and family. Anna and Joshua were so happy and appreciative. 2 thumbs up to the crew at Royal Fiesta. Looking forward to working with them in the future.
