On 3/13/2011 I played for a Sunday wedding at the Coconut Cove Resort in Islamorada for Buddy & Kendra Gibson.With the ceremony on the beach it was a perfect day. Steel drum music was played by Cedrick "Sir Cedrick" Luces originally from Trinidad & Tobago for the ceremony....and his pan playing showed....awsome. After the ceremony steel drums continued for cocktail hour. I introduced Chelsey & Mitch the grooms kids and then the couple to....."Say Hey I Love You" by Franti & Spearheads.As the hot buffet opened and the guest were seated,maid of honor Chelsey had a few words for the happy couple.Island music with country and love songs filled the air for dinner. After dinner I invited everyone to the beach for a fireworks display as the newlyweds dance the first dance to "Just By Being You" by Steel Magnolia....it was a perfect night.I started to turn up the music after a few moments of love songs and it was party time. Dancing to Country/Top 40 Dance/Classic Rock they all had a great time.At a special moment I played "My Wish" by Rascal Flatts as Buddy and his Daughter Chelsey danced...I convinced Mitch earlier to dance with his new mom Kendra...and he did....great smiles on all the faces.Thumbs up to Paul & Magda for making a special day perfect....Thanks...Roberto (D.J.Rob)
