On Saturday February 26, 2011 I had the pleasure of playing for Amanda & Joseph Zerra, at the Spanish River Library in Boca Raton. The entire wedding was on the terrace behind the library over looking a lake. Violinist Carl Schmid, started the evening off with ceremony music and Pastor Dennis Glick was the officiant. The cocktail reception was on the upper terrace and lower terrace where the reception was held. I played a mix of Sinatra, Bennett, Buble' and Jazz upstairs and down. Then the party began as I introduced the entire bridal party (24 people), to 200 guests! Amanda and Joe made their entrance to "The Power Of Love" by Huey Lewis. Their first dance was "Something In The Way She Moves" by James Taylor. Later Amanda danced with her father to "Amanda" by Waylon Jennings and Joe with his mother to "Holding Back The Years" by Simply Red. The cake cuttung was done to an Italian classic "CeLuna" and everyone sang along as Joe & Amanda cut their wedding cake. The playlist was mostly 70' & 80's dance music with about a dozen or so of todays big club hits. We also highlighted the arches with uplighting at the Spanish River Library in Red. It looked awesome, providing the right ambiance for the evening. The closing song was "We Are Family" and then there was a send off with all the guests lined up with bubbles in hand, as Amanda & Joe made their way to their Limo, and then off to a Carribean cruise. Congrats to the newlyweds, I had alot of fun at this Celebration!....DJ/MC Eddie B!
