Good Day Bloggers
On Saturday, I had the pleasure of being the DJ for Bryan and Shanice's Wedding celebration.
It was held on board the beautiful Caprice Yacht.
As the guests boarded, I was asked to keep it light and classy. I played music from the Vitamin String Quartet. The ceremony was held on the top deck.
The bridal party and bride were introduced with "I believe in you and me" by Whitney Houston. The ceremony was performed by Captain Pat flawlessly and ended with the honking of the ship's horn. A thunderous applause then ensued. I played "Marry Me" by Bruno Mars for the exit song.
As Bryan and Shanice were taking pictures, the guests were asked to head to the lounge deck. There they had delicious appetizers and libations. I played some cool music mixed with some house, jazz, and standards. A very eclectic mix indeed!
The bride and groom were introduced and then started their first dance. "Perfect" by Ed Sheeran was requested. I then asked Shanice to dance with her uncle. They chose "My Girl" by the Temptations. After that Bryan danced with his mom. "Shimple Man" by ShineDown was chosen. After that I asked some special people to come up and say the toasts for Bryan and Shanice. Shortly after that, I invited everyone downstairs for dinner.
As soon as dinner was completed, the guests started to trickle back up to the lounge. I was waiting and ready to get the party going. We played music from all generations and tastes, but what worked the best were the typical wedding staples. You know, "Shout", "Mony Mony", Love Shack" etc. as well as some TRINY SOCA! Shanice is from Trinidad, so this was perfect!
It was a dancing crowd and we kept it moving throughout the night.
The cake was cut with "Cut The Cake" by AWB being played. I picked up the pace after that and we danced the rest of the night away.
The evening was really a lot of fun!
