Wedding Reception Aboard the Caprice Yacht

On Friday, November 18, 2022 I had the honor of DJing Matt and Laura's Wedding on board the Caprice Yacht. As the guests arrived I played soft tropical music and selections from Matt and Laura's playlist. Laura is a Country fan which brought me back to my years DJing in Pennsylvania. I played songs like Alan Jackson - Must Be Love and Luke Combs - Forever After All. For the ceremony the bridal party walked down the aisle to the traditional Air on Strings by Bach. Laura walked down the aisle to a beautiful rendition of Kiss the Girl from the Little Mermaid by Brent Morgan. I highly recommend this version! After Matt and Laura were pronounced husband and wife I played Forever and Ever, Amen by Randy Travis. During cocktail hour I played a mix of island music along with selections from Matt and Laura's playlist including Take on Me by A-Ha, Fancy Like by Walker Hayes, Is This Love by Bob Marley and Heads Carolina by Jo Dee Messina. After Cocktail Hour I Introduced the bridal party to Finally by CeCe Peniston. Laura said this was the theme song of the whole day! Laura and Matt had their first dance to In Case You Didn't Know by Brett Young. Laura danced with her father to Heartland's "I Loved Her First". This song is touching and a beautiful song for the Father Daughter Dance. I could see Laura's Father James getting choked up!  During dinner James gave a toast and it brought the ship down! He was very entertaining and stole the whole show! During dinner I played  soft music so everyone can enjoy conversation.  After dinner I played a mix of dance floor packers and songs from the bride and groom's playlist including Markey Mark - Good Vibrations, Will Smith - Gettin Jiggy With It and 69 Boyz - Tootsee Role.  Matt and Laura cut the cake to "This Will Be" by Natalie Cole. Then I brought all the single ladies up to the dance floor for the bouquet toss to Beyonce - Single Ladies! After that I played Nelly - Hot in Herre as Matt took the garter off of Laura's leg. Then I got all the single guys up to the dance floor, Matt flicked the garter and it was caught by the boyfriend of the lady who caught the bouquet! I said he can propose to her right here if he wants! Not sure if that happened though but it was a lot of fun!  The night wrapped up with All My Life by K Ci & JoJo and the Blake Shelton version of Footloose. I really enjoyed DJing Matt and Laura's Wedding and I wish the couple the best future they could possibly have!
