Jessica and Tony Sharpe celebrated their wedding aboard the Caprice Yacht out of the James L. Knight Center dock in Miami, FL on 5/13/2017. As the approximate 60 guests boarded the Caprice they were directed to the top deck for the ceremony. The ceremony was officiated by Capt. Pat and as he pronounced them husband and wife everyone cheered loudly for the happy couple. The cocktail hour followed immediately after the ceremony and as all of the guests enjoyed drinks and appetizers I played a mix of tropical tunes. After the cocktail hour all of the guests were invited to the mid deck where I am set up for the intros, dances and toasts. Jessica and Tony chose the song Let's Stay Together by Al Green for their entrance song then had their first dance to Don't Change by Musiq Soul Child. Jessica then danced with her dad to These Three Words by Stevie Wonder and Tony danced with his mom to A Song For Mama by Boyz II Men. Alaysia (matron of honor), Jasmaine (maid of honor) and Jason (best man) gave the toasts then Jessica's dad Mr. Aldridge gave the blessing of the meals. All of the guests were then invited to the lower (1st deck) for dinner. Jessica did provide me with a great play list that included top 40, hip-hop, r&b and 90s dance hits. The dance floor filled up quickly after they came back up after dinner. I took a few requests for the newer group dances and for one or two couples songs. The cake cutting and the garter/bouquet toss were performed as the night progressed but the place to be was that packed dance floor. As the yacht approached the dock I played Before I Let Go by Frankie Beverly and Mase and that put a bow on an amazing Saturday night wedding. Congrats to Jessica, Tony and the entire Sharpe and Aldridge families.
Special thanks to the crew aboard the Caprice Yacht for always providing a smooth ride!!
