Lynda and Chad Huesman celebrated their wedding aboard the Catalina Yacht out of Ft. Lauderdale, FL on 7/17/2020. It was a beautiful Friday late afternoon when approximately 50 close friends and family members boarded the Catalina and were directed to the top deck for the ceremony. After the happy couple tied the knot everyone remained on the top deck for the cocktail hour. I played a mix of tropical tunes while everyone mingled and enjoyed drinks and appetizers. About an hour into the cruise I invited all of the guests to the main deck for the grand entrance and the reception. Lynda chose No Party Never Killed Nobody by Fergie for the bridal party intros and Danger Zone for her and Chad's intro. The first dance was to I Just Wanna Be Your Everything by Andy Gibb then Lynda danced with her dad to When You Need Me by Bruce Springsteen and Chad danced with his mom to Because You Loved Me by Celine Dion. All of the guests were asked to find their seats then Olivia (maid of honor) and Derek (best man) gave the toasts. The buffet style dinner was ready and the reception was under way. Lynda did provide me with a short play list and asked me to have fun with her guests and to take requests. I played a mix of top 40, oldies, disco, classic rock and Motown. What a nice mix of genres for this fun group of guests. They filled the dance floor after dinner and we only paused for the cake cutting ceremony and the garter/bouquet toss. As the Catalina approached the dock I played A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes from the Cinderella Soundtrack and that put a bow on a great Friday night wedding cruise.
Congrats to Lynda, Chad and the entire Huesman, Seme and Wilcot families.
Special thanks to Capt. Robbie and his crew aboard the Catalina for always providing a smooth ride.
