Wedding & Reception Aboard the Catalina Yacht

On Saturday, November 5, 2022 I had the honor of DJing Andrew and Karrine's Wedding on board the Catalina Yacht. It was absolutely perfect weather. The first thing I noticed were the lights and colors. Purple uplighting made the room look exquisite. All of the men in the Bridal Party wore black tuxedos. It went so well with the colors. This wedding was timed down to the minute as Andrew told me he is in showbusiness and does this for a living. The Con Brio Quartet played as the guests boarded. The quartet played the Star Wars Throne Room Theme as the Bridal Party walked down the aisle. They played A Million Dreams (The Greatest Showman) as the Bride walked down the aisle and then after Andrew and Karrine were pronounced Husband and Wife the quartet played We Found Love by Rihanna for the Bride and Groom's recessional. During cocktail hour the Quartet played classic and current songs and it made for a wonderful atmosphere. Then I took over and played songs like Ellie Goulding - Lights, Oasis - Wonderwall, Island Music by Kygo and Frank Sinatra - Fly Me to the Moon. Andrew gave me a fabulous list of songs he likes and also a list of songs he did not want. This can be very helpful and I recommend it. For the Introductions I played Elton John and Britney Spears new rendition of Tiny Dancer. For the first dance the Con Brio Quartet played Potter Waltz. After that I played Neville's Waltz also from Harry Potter. After this the Best Man and Maid of Honor gave toasts and talked about the years of friendship they had with Andrew and Karrine going back to memories from college. Then the Father of the Bride Mike gave a toast and spoke of bonding with his new Son in Law over Nickelback.  It was a touching story.  Then Andrew spoke and thanked everyone for coming and reflected on Memories getting to know his new Father in Law. After the toasts the Quartet played Can't Help Falling in Love and we played the Anniversary Game. All the couples came up to the dancefloor and anyone married less than two hours sat down! Down went the Bride and Groom. Then one year, then five years then 20 years until the last two were standing. In this case it was the Bride's Aunt and Uncle and they were married 43 years!!! This is a fun thing to do and I recommend it. After this it was the Father and Daughter dance with Con Brio playing Sweet Child of Mine and the Mother and Son Dance with Con Brio playing You'll Be in My Heart by Phil Collins. For the Cake Cutting I played Andy Grammer - Don't Give Up On Me. Then it was time for the quartet to pack up and I took over! Songs like The Weeknd - Blinding Lights, Good Charlotte - The Anthem, Kool and the Gang - Jungle Boogie, Flo Rida - Good Feeling, Pink - Raise Your Glass, Cascada - Everytime We Touch, NSYNC - Tearing Up My Heart and Backstreet Boys - Larger than Life kept the dance floor packed! When we got back to the dock I played Closing Time by Semisonic and everyone grabbed sparklers and lined up outside the boat. Andrew and Karrine exited the boat and walked through the sparkler sendoff! These make for GREAT social media videos! Andrew and Karrine are a wonderful couple and their families and friends are very kind and fun people and it was a pleasure to be part of their memories!
