On January 7, 2023 I witnessed Montrell and Montoria present their vows to each other on the Catalina Yacht. The guests were all family and friends that came from North Carolina, Tennessee, and Georgia. As they all walked aboard the Catalina, they were escorted toward the upper deck where the ceremony was held. When the ceremony began, the bridal party walked out to “Best of Me” by Anthony Hamilton. Montoria walked with her father to “Sweet Love” by Anita Baker. Then the Recessional was “I Choose You” by Kiana Lede. When the ceremony ended, Montrell Montoria, and the bridal party took pictures all over the Catalina. The guests enjoyed their cocktail hour remaining on the upper deck as I played some 90’s R&B. The guests were then escorted toward the dining area which is on the lower deck, to get ready for the Introductions of the bridal party. After introducing the bridal party and the newlyweds, their first dance was “Nervous” by John Legend. Right after their first dance, Montrell and Montoria wanted the party to start right before dinner, so they had a little something for the guests that they wanted me to play for them. They wanted me to play “Let’s Get Married” by Jagged Edge remix, Swag Surfin, and last “Can We Talk” by Tevin Campbell. As the songs played, Montrell and Montoria would pick up people from the table and bring them on the dance floor until everyone or most were dancing. After those 3 song sets, 2 speeches were made and dinner followed. I played 90’s and 2000’s R&B. After dinner the party really started, I played some 90’s 2000’s hip/hop and some line dancing. The last song of the night was “Before I let go” by Maze and Frankie Beverly.
I want to thank the capt. and the crew of the Catalina for a smooth ride and for being so wonderful and helpful to our guests.
Thank you
