Wedding Reception on the Catalina
On February 3rd 2024, Doug and Polina took their vows that night for the rest of their life. We were docked at the Hyatt hotel in downtown Miami While the guests arrived I played some upbeat and some light 80s rock. The guests were escorted toward the upper deck where the ceremony is set up. The bar was open for everyone to enjoy a drink or two. There was appetizers platters spread out a quick bite for the moment. As ceremony started, the bridesmaids walked down to “Four Seasons by Vivaldi”. Polina walked down to “The wedding March by Felix Mendelssohn”. After the two officially tied the know, they both walk down to “Marriage of Figaro by Mozart”. Right after the ceremony the bar was back open and the staff served O'dourves While the happy hour came to an end, everyone made their way to the dinner room. As the guests were enjoying their dinner, I played some easy going 80’s pop. After dinner Doug and Polina danced their first song together as husband and wife to “Your song by Elton John”. When the first dance ended, Doug danced with his mother and Polina danced with her brother all together to “God only knows by the Beach Boys”. About a minute into their formal dance, I included everyone to join Doug and Polina to join them. Then right after the dances, the real party started. I danced them to 80’s rock/pop, some 90’s pop, classic rock and some 80’s dance. I would like to wish Doug and Polina a life full of love, laughter and happiness.
I would also like to thank the staff of the Catalina that night for giving their attention to the guest of Doug and Polina’s wedding day. You all did a great job. I would also include the Captain that night for a great/safe cruise through miami river/intercostal.
Thank you
DJ “C” Chris.
