Wedding Reception Aboard the Catalina Yacht

Blaine and Steven Cohen celebrated their wedding aboard the Catalina Yacht out of Ft. Lauderdale, FL on 5/5/2024.  Approximately 80 guests boarded the Catalina that Sunday late afternoon and were directed to the top deck for the ceremony.  The cocktail hour also took place on the top deck and as they all mingled and enjoyed drinks and appetizers I played a mix of tropical and easy listening tunes.  Before everyone came down to the main deck for dinner and dancing, they took a big group photo on the bow of the vessel and they also performed the traditional Jewish Hora.  During dinner, Blaine and Steven had their first dance then they invited everyone to the dance floor for more dancing fun.  Steven laid out the song list for me and it was perfect.  I played many great songs from show tunes to classical songs for all to enjoy.  There was no cake cutting or parents dances that evening, it was just a fun dance party till the end and as we finally reached the dock Steven requested that I play That's What Friends Are For by Dionne Warwick and Shower The People by James Taylor.  Perfect ending to a perfect wedding.
