Wedding Reception Aboard the Catalina Yacht

DJ Gregg with this weeks installment of the Wedding Blog.

The event of the week was held on the luxurious Catalina Party Yacht.

Shannon and Matt had a great wedding and reception.

The wedding ceremony was held on land at the Hilton hotel. It was handled by DJ Jerry and it went over great!

Afterwards, everyone went to the Sundream Harbor to board the boat.

Cocktail hour commenced. I was asked to play some cool tunes, so I played some South Beach style electronica as well as some Jazz.

The dining room opened and I invited all of the guests down for the grand entrance. After everyone took their seats, I invited the bridal party to enter.

I played" Shut Up and Dance" by Walk The moon. Then Shannon and Matt entered. The crowd erupted with cheers and applause. 

I played their first dance after that..."I Choose You" by Ryan Darling. Then I asked the maid of honor, Kayla and Best Men Adam and David to say a few words over the champagne..Then the Bride's father said a few words to welcome everyone to the party.  Now dinner is served!

I kept the tunes fairly light, continuing on the requests of the bride and groom.

After dinner, I invited all of the guests upstairs and we got the party started! This was a very fun group. They loved to dance, and being that we were on a boat, they wanted to dance outdoors... The cake cutting went off with no issues (or mess). 

As the guests departed, they waiting with sparklers to do a special sendoff for Robert and Kayla. It was really great ending to a fun evening!
