Wedding Reception Aboard the Kathleen W Yacht

Wedding June 8th, 2013 aboard the Kathleen W Yacht.

As guests boarded the Kathleen W we welcomed them with easy listening music from such artists as Kenny G; Michael Jackson, Carlos Vives. The crew from the K.W. was waiting with selections of wines for the Saturday evening wedding reception cruise for Michael & Adriana LaMar.

We departed from the dock a little late but that did not dampen the spirits of Michael, Adriana, their family and friends. Due to the late start our cocktail hour was cut short to allow time for dinner.  After dinner the father of the bride was introduced and he delivered a very heartwarming toast to his family and invited guests. The best man Robert was next who delivered a very touching toast to the bride and groom. Robert spoke about how the couple welcomed him into a new community where they were neighbors and how they became close friends. The bride’s sister was next and she delivered a tear-jerking toast to her sister and brother- in- law.

The bride and groom were introduced as they took the dance floor for their first dance as husband and wife to “I Won’t Give Up” by Jason Mraz.  The bride and her father danced to “A Song for My Daughter” by Ray Allen. Toward the end of the song several of Adriana’s family and friends took turn dancing with the bride.

With the special dances completed, the dance floor opened with hits from Celia Cruz “La Vida es Un Carnival”, “Pantomima” by Elvis Crespo and more. We took a slight break for the bouquet and garter toss. The lady catching the bouquet was the aunt of the bride and the garter was caught by a friend of the family.
