Wedding Reception Aboard the Sun Dream Yacht

Happy New Year to Nicole and Scott Smith who celebrated their wedding aboard the Sun Dream Yacht out of Ft. Lauderdale, FL on 1/1/2021.  Approximately 40 close friends and family members boarded the Sun Dream that Friday early evening for a 4 hour wedding cruise along the inter-coastal water ways.  The ceremony was held at a nearby church so as the guests boarded they were directed to the top deck for drinks and appetizers.  I played a mix of tropical tunes during the cocktail hour then as all of the guests came down to the mid-deck for the intros and first dance.  Nicole and Scott had their first dance to a special mix that they provided to me then the best man Scotty gave a toast before everyone was invited to the main deck for a buffet style dinner.  After dinner everyone came up to the mid-deck to dance the night away.  I played a mix of top 40, country, oldies and Motown and also took requests for a few couples dances and for line dances.  There was no parents dances, garter/bouquet toss or a cake cutting ceremony.  This was more of a cocktail wedding reception that everyone fully enjoyed.  As we approached to dock I played Friends In Low Places by Garth Brooks and that put a bow on a nice New Years Day wedding cruise.
