Wedding Reception Aboard the Sun Dream Yacht

I had the honor of DJing Brendan and Maura's Wedding on board the Sundream Yacht on April 23, 2022. The couple held their ceremony earlier in the day so the evening started with cocktail hour. It was Sinatra, Dean Martin, Bobby Darin and Wayne Newton by request. The weather was perfect and it was great to have extra sunlight while out on the yacht. Late spring, early summer is a perfect time of year for a South Florida yacht wedding. The introductions were fun and creative! The wedding party was introduced two bridesmaids to one groomsman at a time. They came in to Celebration by Kool and the Gang and did things like the limbo, and one where the two bridesmaids carrying the groomsman. Very fun! Then the couple of honor came in to This Will Be by Natalie Cole. I transitioned to Simply the Best by Tina Turner for the first dance. You could tell Brendan and Maura rehearsed their dance and they pulled it off perfectly! After this Maura's dad gave a speech that had tears in everyone's eyes. If you are planning your wedding I highly recommend putting thought into these things like Maura and Brendan did. It makes for a much more memorable day. During dinner I played more older wedding hits and that worked very well. After dinner it was time to switch it up to dance music! I played Let's Get It Started by Black Eyed Peas, I Wanna Dance with Somebody by Whitney Houston, Hips Don't Lie and Juicy by Doja Cat. I also took some requests. At the end of the night Brendan and Maura had a private last dance to Beyond by Leon Bridges. This wedding had some excellent planning and the couple is very in love. It was an honor to be part of Maura and Brendan's memories.
