Wedding & Reception Aboard the Sun Dream Yacht

I had the WONDERFUL pleasure of DJing Ryco and Leanne's wedding on August 20, 2022 on board the Sun Dream Yacht! I found out the couple are neighbors of mine but many came in from out of town to enjoy the beautiful Ft Lauderdale Intracoastal! The ceremony began with the bridal party walking down the aisle to One Sweet Day by Mariah Carey. I faded the music and transitioned to Perfect by Ed Sheeran for Leanne to walk down the aisle. The couple were married with the beautiful South Florida sunset in the background. When Ryco and Leanne were pronounced husband and wife they walked out to the end part of the same Ed Sheeran song Perfect and everybody cheered for the couple! After the ceremony I made the grand introductions of the bridal party to Phil Collins - In the Air Tonight. It was time to introduce  Mr and Mrs. Holness!! They entered to Here and Now by Luther Vandross and then had their first dance to Amazed by Lonestar. I had not played this song in a long time but it is one of the most requested first dance songs! After this Leanne danced with her father to Luther Vandross - Dance With my Father! Then I suggested Ryco dance with his Mother in Law to "I'll Stand By You". It was the highlight of the night! A happy Mother in Law is a crucial ingredient to a happy marriage! After dinner I started the dancing with the Cupid Shuffle, and yes I led the dancing!! The Cupid Shuffle is one of my favorite line dances because it is SO EASY! It is so important for a DJ to help get your guests up to the dance floor. The dancing kept on with Shaggy, Biggy and a classic Walk it Out by DJ Unk! Then I called all SINGLE LADIES to the dance floor to Ludacris Move! Get Out The Way! for the bouquet toss!  An excellent choice! This was followed by the Ryco taking off Leanne's garter to Let's Get it On! As we were pulling up to the dock the dancefloor was packed to Outkast - The Way You Move. This was a FUN wedding and I wish Ryco and Leanne all the best for their future! DJ Chris Nelson
