Wedding Reception Aboard the Sun Dream Yacht

I had the wonderful pleasure of DJing the Wedding of Mr and Mrs Bobby and Monica Hicks on December 17, 2022 on board the Sundream Yacht. The weather was threatening all day long but the clouds parted and the sun came through for Bobby and Monica to exchange their vows. While the guests entered I played soft instrumental music from Daniel Jang. Bobby and his adorable grandson Bryson entered to Men in Black while wearing black tuxes and sunglasses. Followed by daughters Amanda and Amber to Brooklyn Duo’s A Thousand Years. Then Monica, the bride walked down the aisle to the instrumental version of Ed Sheeran’s Perfect. After the ceremony the captain blew the horn and Monica and Bobby walked as husband and wife to Joy by Apollo 100. During cocktail hour I played songs from my Wedding Cocktail list including Chapel of Love, Bruno Mars - Marry You and selections from the couples list like Love is in the Air by Daniel Boaventura and Tyler Childers - All Your’n. For the introductions I introduced the Father of the Groom, Robert to Born to be Wild, Daughters Amanda and Amber to T.I. Bring ‘Em Out, Best Man and Grandson Bryson stole the show w his dance moves to Whoop There It Is!, and then I introduced Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Hicks to Diplo - Welcome to the Party! After that the Bride and Groom had their first dance to Thank God by Kane Brown, Monica’s Father in Law Robert danced with her to Stand By Me by Ben E. King and then Bobby danced with his daughter Amber to “Best Part of Me” and with Amanda to the song “When God Made You my Father” by Riley Roth. During dinner I played soft music and then the Bride and Groom did the Ballroom Blitz Challenge where I played the song and they went around getting their picture with every table. I highly recommend this! After dinner it was time to dance! The dancefloor was packed to music from Young MC - Bust a Move, Flo-Rida - Low, the Cupid Shuffle, Black Eyed Peas - My Humps, and Waka Flocks Flame - No Hands! I was happy to play Boyz n the Hood by Easy E for Bryson who also danced with Monica to Find Your Wings by Mark Harris. I also played a dedication of In My Daughters Eyes by Martina McBride. The night wrapped up with Prince Royce’s version of Stand by Me and I’m Glad You Came. It was an honor to be part of Bobby and Monica’s special day and i hope to see them again on their 10th Anniversary or sooner!
