Wedding Reception Aboard the Sun Dream Yacht

Greg and Melanase Jackson celebrated their wedding aboard the Sun Dream Yacht out of Ft. Lauderdale, FL on 8/24/2025.   This fun wedding began with a ceremony on the top deck then all of the approximate 25 guests were invited to the mid-deck for the cocktail hour.   I played a mix of 70s and 80s soul jams as they all mingled and enjoyed drinks and appetizers.  When it was time for grand entrance, I had the guests make a semi-circle on the dance floor.  Greg and Melanase entered to We Are 1 by Maze then they danced to My Girl by The Temptations as the first dance.  After a short dance set, everyone was invited to the main deck for a buffet style dinner.  During dinner, there were several speeches and toasts then all of the guests came back up to the mid-deck for some dancing fun.  I played a mix of traditional GoGo/DC tunes along with classic R&B and funk.  Great mix of genres for this very upbeat group of guests that filled the dance floor as the evening continued.  The happy couple did have a cake cutting ceremony then they surprised everyone with a dessert station for all to enjoy.  The closing song for the evening was Before I Let Go by Frankie Beverly and as the Sun Dream approached the dock everyone made a big circle on the dance floor.
