Good Day Blogger!
DJ Gregg here with this weeks installment of the WEDDING BLOG. Our journey takes us to a private residence in Ft. Lauderdale. This location was situated on the New River and Intracoastal Waterway. A grand home for a Grand Event!
The backyard was decorated beautifully with a tent for the guests...complete with chandeliers and wonderful floral arrangements. The area was illuminated softly with Lavender LED up-lights provided by Eddie B. & Company, and in the center of it all, was the crown jewel. The wonderful LED lighted dance floor, also provided by Eddie B. & Company!
As the guests arrived, I played some light tunes and funky background music. Christina is partial to the standards by Frank Sinatra, Michael Buble' and the like.
Cocktail hour ended and I was asked to invite the guests to their seats for dinner. during this time, I invited Richard, the father of the bride to say a few words. Then Robert, Christina's brother and Laura, a very close friend. All had wonderful things to say about Brandon and Chrissy.
After the toasts, we said a blessing and dinner was served.
As soon as dinner ended, I invited Brandon and Chrissy to do their first dance. They chose "Islands in the Stream" by Dolly and Kenny. Then I asked Chrissy to dance with her father. I used "Forever Young" by Rod Stewart.
Once the song ended I invited all of the guests up and we got the party started! I have to say that the group was a lot of fun. i was able to play all different types of song styles, including modern, Country and even some oldies. The floor was busy all evening long.
Towards the end, I asked Brandon and Chrissy to cut the cake. The fed each other and then back to the party!
A great time was had by all.
