Wedding Reception at Amara Cay / Islamorada

I DJed the wedding of Alex and Andrea Murphy on Friday, May 17, 2024 at Amara Cay Resort in Islamorada. The wedding began with a beautiful beach ceremony. It was warm out but there was a cool breeze in the air. I played piano versions of Here Comes The Sun, Love Story, and She Will be Loved as guests were taking their seats. As the bridal party walked in I played Best Part by H.E.R. As Andrea walked in I played the strings version of What a Wonderful World. After Alex and Andrea were pronounced husband and wife I played This Will Be by Natalie Cole. 

Next we went under the pavilion for cocktail hour and dinner. I introduced Alex and Andrea and they had their first dance to ILYSB - Stripped. Andrea danced with her father to Stand Still by Noah and Billy Ray Cyrus. Alex danced with his mother to Simple Man by Lynyrd Skynyrd. Father of the bride Gary, Best Man Andrew and Maids of Honor Makai and Alex gave heartfelt toasts. I played music from Zach Brown Band, Kendrik Lamar and Harry Styles.

After dinner we cut loose and had a GREAT time! I played dance music from John Summit, Usher, Chris Brown. I threw in early 2000s hip hop from Timbaland, J-Kown, Outkast and Nelly. Also some David Guetta, MIA and Flo Rida and the favorite Doses and Mimosas! 

We ended the night with XO by Beyonce as the guests circled around Andrea and Alex. 

This wedding was a pleasure to do and I wish Alex and Andrea the best!
