Wedding Reception at Benvenuto's

This is another venue that we will see plenty of this year, Benvenuto's in Boynton Beach, FL.  This is were Jamie and Michael Pilarte celebrated their wedding with 50 of their closest friends and family members.  The ceremony took place indoors, Jamie took the weather completely out of the equation, and so was the cocktail hour.  Michael is actively in the U.S. Army so they were able to use the military discount that we offer to folks in the service.   We are extremely proud of our troops!!!  The cocktail hour was over and everyone shuffled into the Garden Room for the reception.  I lined up the bridal party and began the grand entrance with Don't Stop The Party by Pitbull.  This song was also used for the bride and groom entrance at their request.   Michael and Jamie went right into the first dance which was You and I by Michael Buble then was mixed in to Sway also by Michael Buble.  Lessons were taken for this first dance and it was worth it.  Soon after Jamie danced with her dad to What a Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong and Michael dance with his mom to Amor De Madre by Victor Manuelle.  The toasts were given by Sabrina (maid of honor) and Luis (best man), then Jamie's dad Michael got up and had few words of his own.  Jamie's dad had everyone cracking up with his jokes about Jamie's childhood and of course how proud he was of her on her big day.   Everyone was served 2 courses then Jamie requested High On A Hill by Scott English.  This is a doo-wop song that Jamie's dad used to sing to her when she was a kid.  Jamie and Michael did not provide me with a song list.  They advised me that their family and friends love to dance so I took it from there.  I played a mix of top 40, salsa, bachata, merengue, classic rock, mo-town and 80's dance.  They absolutely loved the mix of so many genres and packed the floor for almost the entire evening.  We did perform the cake cutting, garter/bouquet toss and the anniversary dance about a hour before the reception ended.  The last dance was Save The Last Dance For Me by Michael Buble.  Jamie and Michael wanted to make sure the the reception began and ended with a Michael Buble song (big fans)!!!!!  Congrats to Jamie, Michael and the entire Holloway,Hughes and Villavicencio families.  Special thanks once again to the management and staff at Benvenuto's who never disappoint!!
