Wedding Reception at Benvenutos Caterestaurant

Amy and Nestor Marante celebrated their special day on 1/19/2013 at the famous Benvenuto's restaurant in Boynton Beach, FL.  The ceremony took place at a church near by then all of the guests arrived at Benvenuto's for cocktail hour.  They were met with drinks and appetizers and a live performance by the man himself Ricky B.  As part of their wedding package, Eddie B & Co provided a live musician for the cocktail hour.  Ricky B's style is like no other.  Very classy!!!  The grand ballroom was decorated with 12 amber color up-lights which also was included in the package.  All of the 155 guests were invited to the ballroom for the grand entrance and reception as the cocktail hour was winding down.  I lined up the 13 member bridal party and they entered to Don't Stop The Party by Pitbull.  Amy and Nestor chose Everything Tonight by NeYo and Pitbull for their grand entrance as everyone was on their feet and cheering on.  They went right into the first dance which was Always by Frank Sinatra then Amy danced with her dad to My Little Girl by Tim McGraw and Nestor danced with his mom to As Time Goes By by Ibrahim Ferrer and Omar Portuondo.  The toasts were given by the maid of honor Leslie and by the best man Alberto.  Amy's dad also had a few words for the happy couple then the first of 2 courses was served.  Nestor is of Cuban decent so the play list provided for me had a little bit of everything.  I played a mix of top 40, salsa, merengue, 80's, country, classic rock and rock & roll.  This was a very live/energetic group (like a love) so it was easy to get them on the floor.  There was a little break in the action when Amy and Nestor cut the wedding cake and performed the garter/bouquet toss.  Then it was back to the dance floor for more fun.  The wedding ended with Closing Time by SemiSonic as the last song. PERFECT!!  Congrats to Amy, Nestor and the entire Marante and Alvarez families.  I love a wedding were I can play so many genres of music and all of the guests appreciate the selections.  Special thanks to the management and staff at Benvenuto's.  5 Star service and food always!!!! DJ Ray
