Maryann and Walter Tackett celebrated their wedding on 6/24/2012 at a cozy catering hall named Gold Choice Catering in Margate, FL. Walter who is 70 and Maryann who is 68 met each other approximately 5 years ago and decided to celebrate their matrimony with 40 close friends and relatives on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. The ceremony was short and sweet and then Ben (Walter's brother) made a nice toast to the newlyweds. There was a buffet style dinner for everyone to enjoy (Italian style). Half way through dinner it was time for the first dance. Maryann and Walter's first dance was to Bless the Broken Road by Rascal Flatts and they requested that all of the couples join them half way through the song. I was not provided a song list but I did take plenty of requests. The hot genre for the event was group dances. I played the Macarena, Cha Cha Slide, Electric Slide, Cupid Shuffle, The Chicken Dance, Y.M.C.A. and more. They also requested lots of country and oldies. The 2 special requests from Maryann were Then by Brad Paisley and God Gave Me You by Blake Shelton. The highlight of the evening was singing Happy Birthday to Walter's mom Betsy who turned...(80 something) she wouldn't tell. Everyone seemed to have a great time celebrating Maryann and Walter's big day. The last songs for the evening were Save The Last Dance For Me by Michael Buble and New York, New York by Frank Sinatra. Congrats to Maryann and Walter Tackett!!!! Truly two of the nicest people I have ever met along with a great group of friends and family. DJ Ray
