On Saturday, May 24th I was at Gran Paraiso Gardens in Homestead, FL for the wedding celebration of Natasha and Alexander. The ceremony took place at 4:30pm in the garden with a beautiful waterfall in the background followed by the cocktail hour, played by a live violinist. After cocktail hour, I invited everyone into the air conditioned reception room decorated with white linens with gold accents. When it was time for introductions the bridal party came in with sparklers in hand and large signs to Let’s Get Loud by Jennifer Lopez. The couple then embraced each other for their first dance to Que Precio tiene el Cielo by Marc Anthony to show off the choreography they had been working diligently on. Natasha’s father then danced with her for the father daughter dance to Tu Sangre en mi Cuerpo by Angela Aguilar followed by Alexander and his mother dancing to It Happens in a Heartbeat by Wedding Music Central. Following the parents dances and a thank you from the newlyweds, guests were treated to another performance from the catering company with a churrascaria style dinner coming out with all the food on stakes to Magalenha by Sergio Mendes. During dinner, I played a some easy listening and salsa while the guests enjoyed their meal and after some speeches, the rest of the night was a party with a latin fusion of music spanning multiple decades for all the guests to dance to. At one point they all came out with party hats and masks for an Hora Loca. It was so much FUN! Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Alonzo for allowing me to be a part of your special day. It was an absolute pleasure partying with you and your family. - DJ ELOW
