Queenie and Mike Le celebrated their wedding at the Hyatt Pier 66 Hotel in Ft. Lauderdale, FL on 6/10/2017. The ceremony took place at a nearby church then all of the approximate 100 close friends and family members were invited to the Hyatt for the cocktail hour and reception. As the guests arrived they were greeted with drinks, appetizers and a mix of tropical tunes at the Windows on The Green on the ground floor of the hotel. During the cocktail hour I decorated the Pier Top ballroom with 24 blue colored, LED, wireless up-lights, dance floor lights and a monogram (gobo) all provided by Eddie B & Company. The 21 member bridal party chose individual songs as their entrance songs and Queenie and Mike entered to No Flex Zone by Rae Sremmurd. The first dance was to Why I Love You by Major then Queenie danced with her dad to You Raised Me Up by Josh Groban and with her son to Beautiful Boy by Celine Dion then Mike danced with his mom to Because You Loved Me by Celine Dion. The toasts were given by Bi (maid of honor) and Binh (best man) then both dads gave welcoming speeches. Everyone found their seats and prepared for a 3 course meal and the reception was in full swing. Queenie did not provide me with a play list since she has seen me in action at other family weddings. After dinner the dance floor filled up very quickly!! I played a mix of top 40, latin classics, r&b, Hip-Hop and 80s and 90s dance hits. I must say they were one of the loudest and funnest groups I have ever DJed for. As the night progressed we had a cake cutting ceremony and the garter/bouquet toss. I did take a few requests for the newer group dances and for some couples dances. The closing song for the evening was Tonight by John Legend and that put a bow on another great Pier 66 Saturday night wedding!! Congrats to Queenie, Mike and the entire Le, Steele and Pe Benito families.
Special thanks to the staff at Pier 66 for always providing 5 star service.
