Good Day Bloggers.
DJ Gregg here with this weeks installment of the wedding blog.
This adventure is very unique and timeless.
Harry and Marlene were married... Nothing out of the ordinary right?
However it is great to say that both Harry and Marlene are in their 80's! That's right...You are never too old to fall in love, and that is exactly what they did!
This was a first class event. With a limo and everything!
As the guests arrived, I played some light Bossa Nova and Jazz. Appropriate music for the crowd that was in attendance.
It was a very large party with over 160 people! All of their friends, children, grandchildren, and even great grandchildren.
In fact, after I introduced, Harry and Marlene, Harry took the mic from me and introduced his and Marlene's family. It was beautiful to see the multiple generations on stage wishing them well.
After that I played their first dance "Could I have this dance" by Helen Reddy.
Then everyone danced to "Unforgettable".
I sat everyone down and then the toast by their children. A blessing was given and then dinner commenced.
After dinner, I opened the dance floor for dancing. As stated before, I needed to keep the music appropriate for the crowd on hand, so I played a lot of standards as well as some disco, 50's 60's and even some line dances!
A great time was had by all.
They have gone on a Caribbean Cruise for their honeymoon.
Have a great time!
