Wedding Reception at Key Largo Lighthouse

I DJed the wedding of Traci and Sun-yin on Saturday, June 22, 2024 at Key Largo Lighthouse. A light drizzle began as the guests arrived and I played remixes from Sublime Reggae Kings, Natasha Bedingfield, and Jimmy Buffett. The drizzle let up as the guests took their seats and the ceremony began. The bridal party walked down the path to Let's Get Married by Bleachers. Next, Traci and her father Mike did a choreographed dance down the path to I'm Ready by AJR. After a beautiful ceremony Traci and Sun-yin were pronounced husband and wife! I played Heavy D - Now that We've Found Love as the couple walked back up the path!

During cocktail hour I played music from Jimmy Buffett, Zac Brown, Beach Boys, Maxi Priest, Beyonce and Kygo. Even though it was drizzling the whole time everyone enjoyed themselves and were in high spirits. Next, everyone went under the tent for dinner. Greg the best man, Hailie, the maid of honor and Sarah, a friend of Traci and Sun-yin gave toasts. I played Kid Rock - Sugar Pie Honey Bunch while Traci and Sun-yin cut the cake. Next, Traci and Sun-jin did their first dance to a mix of music they had prepared including Ako Te Pitaju - Petar Graso and Dolly Parton - My Father's Daughter. About 20 seconds into the song Traci's father Mike stepped in and showed Sun-yin how to really dance! The guests loved it. Mike is a fantastic dancer. The dance ended with Traci and Sun-yin dancing together again. Next, Traci and her bridesmaids did a special dance they practiced to Tipsy by Shaboozie. At that time the rain stopped and the sun miraculously came out just in time for Traci and Sun-yin's sunset photos. The sky was an absolutely beautiful shade of orange.

Next, we danced to music from Bruno Mars, Pitbull, Shania Twain and Lizzo. Traci and Sun-yin jumped in the pool and the next half hour guests were jumping in with them! Traci tossed her bouquet in the pool to Hit Me With Your Best Shot by Pat Benetar. The first time I've seen that happen and it was absolutely fun! Sun-yin removed Traci's garter to Let's Get It On by Marvin Gaye and tossed it to his best man Greg. The rest of the night we danced and had fun to songs from Dua Lipa, Bruno Mars and Tina Turner. I played a set of country from Big and Rich, George Strait, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani. The night ended with Save the Last Dance by Michael Buble. 

I wish Traci and Sun-yin the best as they embark on a road trip for their honeymoon!
