I DJed the wedding of Michael and Angelica at Key Largo Lighthouse on Saturday, December 7, 2024. If weather could be bottled and sold this day would go for a million dollars. Sunshine, blue skies and a cool December breeze made for an absolutely perfect day. As the guests arrived I played a mix of tropical house music including Max Oazo remixes of Every Breath You Take, Stand By Me and Hear Me Tonight. I also played music from Bob Marley, Kaskade and Nikko Culture.
As the guests were seated I slowed it down with United Guitar Players. The officiant was a long time friend of Michael's and quite an entertaining man. He had the guests shout "Let the wedding begin!" At that time I played the Eminus remix of Lucid Truth by Blackmil as the bridal party began walking down the aisle. Next Angelica walked down the aisle with her father as I played Spirit of Truth by Blackmil. After the most unique and entertaining ceremony I have ever been part of Michael and Angelica were pronounced husband and wife! I played the Rowland Steyn remix of Every Breath You Take. Michael dipped Angelica and gave her a kiss before walking back up the aisle followed by the bridal party. I truly beautiful ceremony.
For cocktail hour the guests enjoyed drinks and food as I played a mix of Deep House, Reggae and Tropical House music including the Menza remix of One More Time, Maxi Priest - Wild World, Bob Marley - One Love, Jubel - Dancing in the Moonlight. I also mixed in some current hits like Sabrina Carpenter - Espresso, Rufus Du Sol - Music is Better and Avicii - I Could be the One.
Next, it was time for introductions and special dances. The guests circled up around the dance floor and I played Jump Around by House of Pain as the Bridesmaids and Groomsmen made their entrances! After that I played the David Guetta mix of Shouse - Love Tonight and introduced for the first time Mr and Mrs Farias! The introductions were followed by Michael and Angelica's first dance to Rumor by Lee Brice, Angelica's dance with her father to Two Steps Behind by Def Leppard, and Michael's dance with his mother to Because You Loved Me by Celene Dion.
Next, the guests went under the tent for dinner. I played a mix of Deep House and Afro House while the guests enjoyed a delicious meal from Dade Food Group. Michael's father Mario gave a blessing and a toast followed by Angelica's father Wojtek. Next, Maid of Honor Jessica and Best Man and brother of the groom Matt toasted Michael and Angelica. Michael and Angelica thanked the guests for coming and gave a huge shoutout to Key Largo Lighthouse Wedding Coordinator Debbie Lindsey and thanked her for a fantastic job.
After dinner, ice cream and coffee was served as I played an Afro House mix with remixes from Miami DJ Eran Hersh. Next I launched into a mix of house music from Axwell, John Summit and Otto Knows. Next I played a mix of Latin music from Farruko, Don Omar, and Daddy Yankee. I played the classic ACDC - Thunderstruck as the guests enjoyed the popular drinking game. Other songs I played included T-Pain - Hey Baby, No Hands, Party Like a Rock Star and Walk it Out. Also Reload by Sebastian Ingrosso, Mammouth from Dimitrti Vegas and Like Mike, Pump the Breaks by Dom Dolla, Bangarang by Skrillex, Bonfire by Knife Party, Innocence by Nero. The Nerotron Robot showed up and entertained the guests. I played Pump Up the Jam and What Is Love as some of the guests jumped into the pool! More songs included Lil Wayne - Lollipop (Denero Remix) and Miracle Maker by Dom Dolla. The night ended with John Summit - Human and Pretty Lights - Finally Moving.
I was so happy to be party of Angelica and Michael's special day and it was truly one of the most fun weddings I have ever DJed. I wish them both the very best!
