Wedding Reception at Lavan's

Lauren and Keith Williams celebrated their wedding at Lavan's of Hollywood on 3/27/2015.  Approximately 130 guests arrived at Lavan's that Friday evening and were directed to the rear patio for the ceremony.  The weather was not cooperating but the rain did stop long enough to get the ceremony in and no one got wet.  After the ceremony all of the guests were invited to the cocktail hour to enjoy drinks and appetizers while I played a mix of easy listening music that Lauren requested.  The ballroom was decorated beautifully by the staff at Lavan's so as all of the guests entered the ballroom after the cocktail hour their faces said it all.  I lined up the 17 member bridal party for the grand entrance who entered to Uptown Funk by Bruno Mars.  Lauren and Keith entered to Everything Tonight by Pitbul then they went right into their first dance.  They chose Nothing Else Matters by Mettalica as the first dance then Lauren danced with her dad to I Loved Her First by Lonestar and Keith danced with his mom to Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own by U2.  The toasts immediately followed and they were given by Nicole (maid of honor) and Justin (best man).  Soon after, everyone found their seats and prepared for a 4 station meal for all to enjoy.  Lauren did provide me with a great play list that included top 40, country, classic rock, r&b, funk and disco.  I enjoyed watching everyone on the dance floor especially 3 very familiar couples that attended the wedding.  It turns out that there were 3 couples there that I DJed their weddings!!  Then I found out that I am DJing the videographer's wedding in July also.  The word gets around quickly...lol!!  The dance floor was hot all night and in between sets Lauren and Keith did have a cake cutting and a garter/bouquet toss along with an anniversary dance.  The last song for the evening was Closing Time by Semisonic and that's how this great wedding came to a close.  Congrats to Lauren, Keith and the entire Williams and Russo families.  It was great to see so many familiar faces that evening and proud to say that we are the official DJ/Entertainment company for the Russo/Williams families!!!!
