Wedding Reception at Longan's Place

Erica and Landon Smith celebrated their dream wedding at Longan's Place in Miami, FL on 2/4/2024.  This amazing wedding began with a beautiful ceremony overlooking the waterfall.  Approximately 100 close friends and family members witnessed the happy couple make it official with a huge kiss then they were all invited to the cocktail hour at the tiki hut bar.  I played a mix of tropical/latin jazz tunes while everyone mingled and enjoyed drinks and appetizers.  After the cocktail hour all of the guests were invited to the reception/dinner tent for intros, dances, toasts and dinner service as I lined up the 8 member bridal party.  Erica chose Grove St. by Waka Flocka for the bridesmaids intros, Landon chose Wipe Me Down by Lil Boosie for the groomsmen intros then they both entered to New Level by ASAP Ferg...they literally took it to a whole New Level....AMAZING!!  The first dance was to Rest by Bruno Mars then Landon danced with his mom to A Song For Mama by Boyz II Men.  Erica then danced with her dad to a mix of This Dance by Scott Thomas and Zouk La Se by Kassav and with her mom to Because You Loved Me by Celine Dion.  Everyone found their seats and prepared for a 3 course meal.  The blessing of the meals was given by Patrick then several family members gave toasts and speeches.  In my opinion the best one was given by The Father of the Bride Mr. Fred Tranchant.....very funny and powerful.  To this point all of the guests were anxious to party and dance so we wrapped up dinner and headed to the dance hall reception room.  This is where the craziness began and we danced non-stop until the end.  I played a mix of top 40, reggae, latin favorites, calypso and 90s and 2000s bangers.  The energy in the room was contagious, they literally danced until the lights came on...lol.  As everyone gathered on the dance floor for the last songs I played Before I Let Go by Franky Beverly and Mase and Last Dance by Donna Summer...PRICELESS!!!

Congrats to Erica, Landon and the entire Smith and Tranchant families.  Erica and Landon are very special friends to me and my family and we want to wish them the best on their "New Level" journey...Saludos!!
