Wedding Reception at Margaritaville
Friday evening April 19th at The Famous Margarittaville in Hollywood is where DJ and Alyssa were joined by close family and friends from all over to celebrate a new beginning.
Ceremony was on the pool deck overlooking the Hollywood Beach and the ocean. The bridal party waked down the aisle to Israel K, Somewhere Over the Rainbow. Alyssa walked down the aisle to I Get To Love You escorted by her mom and dad. The officiant a friend of Alyssa and DJ. Shot glasses of Tequila was the final portion of the ceremony as they walked down the aisle to All Your'n.
During cocktail hour friends and family enjoyed the Sounds of DJ Marc Evans as I mixed in upbeat Country, Reggae and more.
Following cocktail hour guest were asked to find there seats on the pool deck where the reception was held. I then introduced Shelly, to thank all for joining them for a celebration of Alyssa and DJ. Then the maid of honor and best men did speeches prior to main course. Then DJ escorted Alyssa for the first dance to Joy Of My Life By Chris Stapleton. Alyssa danced wth her dad to My Girl. DJ danced with hs mom to My Baby.
The food stations were open as I played music that was requested by Alyssa and DJ to include lots of Jimmy Buffet, some country and requests from the music request sheet.
During dinner we provided a photo booth for all to take pictures with party props and sign the book for pictures to give to the bride and groom.
Following the main course, the party got rocking as they danced to hits from the 90's and 2000's and todays top 40. From Pitbulls dance songs from Fireball to Don't Stop the party. The dancing party also loved to do line dances to the Cupid Shuffle, the Wobble and even Cotton eye Joe.
At the conclusion of the event, Alyssa and DJ approached me and informed me that they were very pleased with the selection of music and the interaction I had done with there friends and family. The closing song was Hey Ho by Lumineers and You've Got A Friend.
